UGHH!! My face looks so blotchy and ruddy. Yuck!
So, do you have the same problem I do with really large pores? Well, we have found some great ways to help those pores look smaller, sometimes almost non-existent. If you follow these suggestions your skin will look flawless. Let’s start with the whole cleansing process.
Exfoliate: Start with exfoliating your skin. Exfoliating removes the dry cells on the surface of your skin so that the pore openings aren’t so deep. In addition, if you use some sort of chemical exfoliate, like you can really keep those pores cleaned out. If you use a facial scrubber, then you are on the right track.
However, keep in mind that if you have a product like a Clarisonic which will cost you around $199, then you are actually removing more dead skin than just a $2 scrubbie you purchased at Wal-Mart. You can also try a much less expensive version like Olay Professional Pro-X Advanced Cleansing System that will set back only about $25 or so. You can get these at Wal-Mart or Target. Amazon also has them for a few dollars less.
Cleanse: Secondly, remember that when you open the pores they will stay open therefore collecting more dirt. Close them by using a toner after the exfoliation process. Toner closes the pores up so that all that dirt and yucky stuff can’t get in. The trick is that you cleanse regularly, that means twice a day, with a good pH-balanced cleanser like pHisoderm pH Anti-Blemish Gel Facial Wash . You can get it pretty much anywhere that sells facial cleansing products.
Wear Sunscreen: Third, wear your sunscreen. Exposure to the suns rays can create what they call free radical damage to the skin. When this happens, the stratum corneum thickens making the pores look larger.
NOW LET’S TALK MAKEUP!
Let’s say you do all of these things and you still don’t wend up with the smallest pores in the world. Try some of these makeup tricks. Always apply a good makeup primer first. Just like painting a wall, the primer just smooths out the skin’s surface and makes your makeup look flawless. A really good one we have found is POREfessional by Benefit cosmetics. It minimizes the appearance of large pores and makes putting on your makeup much smoother.
A mini one cost $10 at ULTA but here is a coupon for $3.50 off of any $10 purchase. That makes this product $6.50. You can’t beat that, even at drugstore prices. Even though this is a min one, it will last forever. You can get a larger tube if you prefer and still use this coupon.
